BREAKING: CMS finalizes one-year delay on ICD-10 to October 2014

The CMS publishes a final rule changing the compliance deadline for converting to the ICD-10 system of diagnostic and procedural coding to Oct. 1, 2014 from Oct. 1, 2013.

The rule also adopts the standard for a national unique health plan identifier.
